How to Maintain your Pool Yourself

With daily and weekly maintenance, even between a busy schedule you could have your pool looking great, any time, all the time.

Tester Kit

Measure the pH and chlorine level needed by using the tester kit and correct amount of solution.

(use tester kit manual)

Brush & Skimmer

Use soft pool brush to prevent algae and build up calcium on walls and bottom of pool. Removes leaves, and extra debris from skimmer basket.

pH Level

Recommended pH Level between 7.2 & 7.8. Refers to alkalinity and calcium level, that affects input of chlorine or acid and how your pool runs overall.

Chlorine or Salt

Ideal Chlorine levels are 1 and 4 ppm.

If your pool is lacking chlorine, algae and bacterial may show up. Add chlorine regularly or use a salt chlorine generator to keep pool clean.

Filter

Everything goes through the pool filter everyday. Clean each filter with cleaning solution and rinse with hose, once a month.

Water Level

Important to keep the water at the proper surface level, for pool pump and filter to operate best. Fill with hose if needed.
